"Keep life simple" - Scandinavian interior design is simple by nature, and oh so striking, if you like this kinda style, but find it a little uninviting at times (like the mood board featured above - a lot of whites + blacks) you can easily warm up the look by painting your walls light grey and adding timber accents. Always a trick finding that perfect shade though!
We have recently bought and moved into our new house, a little ugly duckling on a beautiful piece of land at the foot of majestic Chapmans Peak Drive , one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world, and a stones throw to the beach. (Yip, I am smiling from ear to ear as my dream has finally come true! But lets leave that for another post)...back to our little Knysna timber home...
It needs a lot of love and patience, and I mean A LOT, so I have opted to paint the run-down bathrooms grey for now untill we can afford to re-do them. And no, I didn't paint the walls. I painted over the outdated wall tiles! (a shade of pink and peach eek) so yes, this can be done. I am busy putting a "how-to" post together to show you guys how easy it is to transform a very outdated bathroom in a mere day - simply by painting the wall tiles grey!
