Our journey with developing SampleBoards moodboard creator software has been incredible, from receiving seed funding from Google to bootstrapping our way through challenges, adapting, and almost selling the company.
Along the way, I became a mom and faced my share of ups and downs, but through it all, we've emerged with renewed energy and creativity.
While SampleBoard has sunsetted, the blog remains a treasure trove of stunning moodboards and inspiration to help designers, house proud homeowners, Gen Z renters, and bride-to-be’s stay in the know.
With over 20 years of experience in the creative tech and interior design industries, I bring extensive expertise in creative concept development, brand identity definition, brand marketing, copywriting, website design, e-commerce development, and interior styling.
My passion lies in helping professionals navigate the challenges they encounter in the design world and inspire homeowners with easy-to-implement design advice.
Before founding SampleBoard in 2010, I worked as an interior designer at one of South Africa’s largest multidisciplinary firms and as a leading commercial interior design specialist in London.
My academic background includes studies in painting, art history, photography, magazine journalism, web design, and a national diploma in Interior Architecture from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
Today, I reside in beautiful Cape Town with my husband, daughter, two dogs, four cats, five chickens, and three fish—a lively and inspiring household!
