Turmeric Yellow Ochre Interior Design Mood Board

This is the first post of a series “London Design Week: Trends and Directions for 2014″ inspired by PantoneView's analysis. In this series I'll be discussing the key color trends from the influential London Design Week that took place this year.

According to PantoneView many designers furniture and accessory makers chose to work in copper or spiced turmeric hues.

Ochre, spiced yellows, Madras and turmeric have been growing in importance for home furnishings over the last few seasons. Tumeric is now a classic - the key pop color of choice for the lounge. It works well with grays and neutrals, accenting a decade of Farrow & Ball interiors beautifully.

Turmeric and yellows were spotted on modern sofas and chairs, often with a mid-century styling, right across London Design Week. Even the very classic Italian furniture brand Natuzzi has launched a brand new range of ochre leather furniture. This color family is set to continue in importance. The S/S 14 runways have been awash with citrus and turmeric, and interior color trends often follow suit.
